When you plan a new interior design project, there are many aspects to consider. One of the most important is the Lighting. Because the sense of sight is contrast sensitive, the brightness contrastof a space determinates its emotional impact. Take inspiration of the sun, the best example we have in nature. Red, orange, brown, black hold daylight like a sponge and refuse to send it back to the room. Pale colours such as pale green, blue and lilac amplify the daylight. That's because light looks white but is in fact made of violet, blue, green, yellow, orange and red - the visible spectrum.

When the light hits exaggerated red wall most part of the spectrum will be adsorbed except the red which is reflected. Also the choise of the floor will affect how light and bright is the room.

Shiny floor reflects the light into the walls and ceiling. Carpet is a soft absorbent object and holds the light in. Mirror has a huge impact on the light scheme. It reflects daylight and amplifies the amount of light in the room.
